Santiago Quartet nominated for Songlines Magazine Award

Ahmed Dickinson has been nominated for BEST ARTIST in the Songlines Music Awards 2012 and with him, therefore, Emma and her Santiago Quartet! Latin Perspective, recorded in collaboration with the Santiago Quartet and co-produced by Emma and Ahmed is a collection of contemporary classical works, for quartet and guitar with quartet by prominent South American composers.

The Songlines Music Awards endeavours to celebrate and acknowledge the myriad of musical talent across the world that has been featured in previous editions of Songlines Magazine.

Public voting closed in January. The results of these votes will be out in March, at which point the 4 finalists in each of the 4 categories will be announced and go to a jury vote. Final results to be announced in June. The winners are given the amazing opportunity of performing at this year's WOMAD Festival in Charlton Park (26-29 July).
