Emma leads Epic Persia at Cadogan Hall - as documented on BBC Persia
Emma took the helm once again as leader of Docklands Sinfonia in a breathtaking and groundbreaking concert of music written solely by Iranian composers. The evening at Cadogan Hall showcased the works of some of Iran’s most respected and well-known composers. The concert is understood to be the first time that an 80-strong British symphony orchestra has performed an entire programme dedicated to Iranian symphonic music. A competition was held in Iran in the months running up to the concert for a work to be written for the orchestra. The winner was Ehsan Mohammadi with the stunning "Rostam's Seventh Labour" which premiered that same evening.
