Emma performs for the Queen and Duchesses of Cambridge and Cornwall

Emma played for the Queen and Duchesses of Cambridge and Cornwall at a special event at Fortnum and Masons on March 1st. As part of elegant all-female string trio, Blue Topaz, Emma was invited to play in the newly opened Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon on the 4th floor of Fortnums. The Queen and her entourage were visiting Piccadilly for the morning to see the results of the recent regeneration in the area.

Graffiti Classics jet off to New Orleans!

Emma spent last week in the States, attending Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans and giving a show with Graffiti Classics in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. What a trip to remember.... Graffiti were well-looked after and gave a wonderful performance as part of the Hattiesburg annual Zeus celebrations, where a wonderful King and Queen were crowned for the next year!

Santiago Quartet nominated for Songlines Magazine Award

Ahmed Dickinson has been nominated for BEST ARTIST in the Songlines Music Awards 2012 and with him, therefore, Emma and her Santiago Quartet! Latin Perspective, recorded in collaboration with the Santiago Quartet and co-produced by Emma and Ahmed is a collection of contemporary classical works, for quartet and guitar with quartet by prominent South American composers.

The Songlines Music Awards endeavours to celebrate and acknowledge the myriad of musical talent across the world that has been featured in previous editions of Songlines Magazine.

Public voting closed in January. The results of these votes will be out in March, at which point the 4 finalists in each of the 4 categories will be announced and go to a jury vote. Final results to be announced in June. The winners are given the amazing opportunity of performing at this year's WOMAD Festival in Charlton Park (26-29 July).
