Save the Children fundraiser "a night of disco" at the Roundhouse on march 5th

It was an absolute privilege for Emma to play alongside legends Sister Sledge, Philip Bailey (of Earth Wind and Fire) and Jimmy Somerville. Emma was one of four violinists invited to play with the stunning band, AllStars Collective, who provided all the musical entertainment for what was an incredible evening. As well as backing the aforementioned musical legends, they perfomed with Sophie Ellis Bextor and Florence Rawlings, of Clean Bnadit. Over £1.3 million was raised for Save the Children at the event.

Solo violin on opening credits of BBC/HBO drama, The Casual Vacancy (February 2015)

Emma can be heard playing on the soundtrack for recent BBC/HBO miniseries, The Casual Vacancy. Adapted from the adult bestseller by JK Rowling, the cast includes the legendary Michael Gambon and Julia Mackenzie.

Lansky - The Mob's Money Man at QEH April 27th 2015

Emma is to play for the world premiere of Roland Perrin's "The Mob's Money Man" at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Monday 27th April. Emma will be the only violinist playing in The Blue Planet Orchestra alongside a jazz singer, narrator and choir. This new work has been commissioned by the Crouch End Festival Chorus. In this vibrant concert drama, composer and jazz musician Roland Perrin spotlights the remarkable life of mobster Meyer Lansky – a key player in the criminal underworld who built an international gambling empire. Infused with Klezmer, New York and Cuban jazz styles, it is a vivid portrait of the ‘Mob’s Accountant’.

Docklands Sinfonia next concert 13th March 2015

Emma is to lead the Docklands Sinfonia in "Rodeo" on Friday 13th March.

Docklands Sinfonia is delighted to welcome back to St Anne’s international cello virtuoso Leonard Elschenbroich for a performance of Prokofiev’s Sinfonia Concertante for cello and orchestra. Leonard Elschenbroich has excited interest as one of the most charismatic cellists of his generation since receiving the Leonard Bernstein award at the opening concert of the 2009 Schleswig Holstein Festival, following his performance of the Brahms Double with Anne Sophie Mutter under the direction of Christoph Eschenbach. Since then, Leonard joined the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist scheme in 2012, a prestigious award offering performances and recordings with all the BBC orchestras and at the BBC Proms.

Previous performances by Leonard with Docklands Sinfonia have been hugely popular and tickets are expected to be in big demand. Docklands Sinfonia will also be continuing its strong track recording of promoting young British composers with the world premiere of ‘Lovely Roof’ by one of our oboe players, Jesse Bescoby.

Emma records special pre-album release videos for Olly Murs

Emma played for 2 very special live videos, released as tasters ahead of Olly Murs' new album, "Never Been Better", which came out on November 24th. The video for the title track, Never Been Better, was released on 26th October and Tomorrow was released on 2nd November. Fans of Olly Murs were given a real pre-release treat with these two tracks. Emma was leading a quartet of brilliant string-players - Anne-Marie Kirby, Stella Page and Izzi Dunn.
